Marry me a little, love me just enough This play rings at you just when you think you have escaped the melancholia of living in a metropolitan city like New York, or Manila or Kuala Lumpur. I first got wind about this play when I checked out this very video of Adam Driver singing one the play’s most important parts: Being Alive. I was taken aback with the emotion (but also because I followed the story in the movie), and the way he sang it–I just understood what he meant.

Make Lists, My Dudes
STORY TIME! I created this list when we first moved to Barcelona in January 2022. My situation was kind of in a limbo, only had 90 days each Schengen visa and so @bboidagasuan and I decided to really aim for residency to save on time, cost and hassle. But more on that part later. Because the universe oftentimes like to play tricks on you, testing you to the limit that the passport didn’t arrive in time for my supposed one-way ticket🛫.

On an off-grid surf island in Surigao del Sur for a week, and these were my thoughts during times spent in my hammock. Enjoy :p 04/03 AYOKE On a hammock, inside a room that has a bed, and yet I am in the hammock. Why is this giving me such joy? Like it’s a simulation. Like that episode in Black Mirror. Ah! Alas! Your highness. In total solitude, and comfort. Crickets in the background. A little bit of budots, and a whole lot or rawness from the sound of the moment.

Read part 1 here . 04/02 I’ve embarked on a journey of preserving my iPhone 13 mini’s battery health by: Using offline Spotify as much as possible for my music 🎵 needs Using talkase card phone to play my sleeping music Turning off mobile data when on a bus and rely on regular SMS for emergency comms Not installing video streaming apps, disciplining self to only watch movies and tv series using the Mac Using the osmo to record 🔴 events Uninstalled social media apps (if I truly need them, like when I wish to do 100-post insta stories then I will reinstall) Only the essential apps (during the season it is needed) will be kept. Example: if I’m in the EU then I will install them Keeping important online IDs or membership cards in Apple Wallet so I won’t need their app anymore If it’s an app whose account I can access using Safari, then no need to install As of this posting (04/02), battery 🪫 health is at 86%

Let’s just say that this is exactly ___. 01/05 Boggle 01/26 Imong rahcel tungod kay rachel? 02/01 Offered my services and expertise to a local institution and pointed out the pain points I noticed, wherein if resolved could help them elevate their status as an organization and improve processes to cut cost (manpower & resource). I was told they cannot accept my application because I was only available for a short stint and that they would rather hire someone who is applying to stay with them for long term employment. But I could not help but wonder why the mindset is that way.. does it mean they would rather hire for tenure than for results?
